Plain Language Training

Staff who have received comprehensive plain language training will know how to:

  • identify the characteristics and needs of their audience;
  • plan a document that meets the needs of their organization;
  • recognize the problems in text content, organization and design that cause difficulties for their audience;
  • develop effective plain language solutions to these problems;
  • design a document that’s easy to read, use and understand; and
  • evaluate the success of their communication.
